St Nicholas’ Collegiate Church

A microcosm of Galway’s history and cultural heritage. Ireland’s largest medieval parish church in regular operation, and Galway’s oldest (and tallest!) standing building, it has witnessed fire, war, famine, the destruction of Cromwell’s armies, but also the generosity of generations of mayors from the famous Tribes of Galway.

Guided tours and bell-ringing available.

Open daily to tourists and worshippers alike.
