AVEA recently held its inaugural Tour Guide networking event in association with Dublinia and the National Print Museum
Both Dublinia and the National Print Museum are accredited providers of an excellent educational course, which takes place full-time over one full year, and includes vital elements of work experience and placement. The successful students emerge with a QQI Level 5 Common Award in Cultural and Heritage Studies, and are highly prized by the visitor attractions sector.
Thanks to Patrick Herbage (Head of Education) and CEO Heather Dowling Wade, Dublinia hosted a fantastic ‘speed-dating event’ which was attended by twenty AVEA member businesses, giving the graduating students great opportunities to bring their CVs, secure interviews, and hopefully move into roles in September.
We wish all the students the very best as they complete the final elements of their course and placements, and hope to see you working as tour guides later this year!”
