Dublinia earns sustainable accreditation with 50 Shades Greener

Kildare & Wicklow Education and Training Board (KWETB) in collaboration with 50 Shades Greener are delighted to present Gertrude Lambert (Green Manager) and her green team from Dublinia with their certificate of completion of the 50 Shades Greener Online Programme.

This programme is the first national state funded training programme to ‘green’ the Hospitality & Tourism industry and reduce Ireland’s carbon footprint. Dublinia are the first from the Association of Visitor Experiences and Attractions (AVEA) in Ireland to complete this programme and receive their digital badge. They have implemented actions that will see them reduce their carbon footprint even further. Testimonial from Gertrude "The 50 Shades Greener sustainability programme teaches you how to establish your energy, water and waste production figures and then systematically guides you through the process of reducing your carbon emissions by introducing practical and effective solutions that can be adjusted to your individual business needs. The training support I received from Éimhín was excellent, always encouraging me, giving tips and suggesting ideas to move me forward. The training videos are short and lighthearted and the charts and workbooks are a great aid". KWETB are proud to lead and collaborate with our partner ETBs in the national rollout of the 50 Shades Greener initiative.
