Loftus Hall is a large mansion on the Hook Peninsula in Co. Wexford. After years of dereliction, Loftus Hall was privately bought in 2011 and re-opened in July 2012 for guided tours. Loftus Hall is best known for its dark and troubled history.
The Legend of Loftus Hall tells the tale of a shipwrecked stranger invited to stay as a guest of the Tottenham family of Loftus Hall. One night during a game of cards, Young Lady Anne Tottenham dropped a card to discover the stranger had cloven hoofs instead of feet and was none other than the Devil! He shot through the roof in a ball of flames.

Anne never recovered from the shock, she was confined to the Tapestry room where she passed away a few years later. This tale is reenacted as part of a 45-minute guided tour of the ground floor of Loftus hall.

There is also the option for a group of 10 people to take a private tour on the Three Floors Tour which lasts one hour and 40 minutes. Loftus Hall runs Paranormal Lockdown nights where an investigation team will take groups through the Hall with equipment looking for evidence of Paranormal activity. (6 hours)

Loftus Hall sits on 5 acres of Walled garden which have been extensively planted and reimagined including a fairy trail and fairy village for kids.
Cafe, covered outdoor picnic area and Gift Shop.
Suitable for independent travelers and groups.
Pre-booking essential for guided tours.

Halloween is epic here!
